In September 2024, a group of scholars in religious studies and new religious movements and human rights defenders sent an appeal to the Georgian authorities demanding to free on bail two yogis detained after France had requested their extradition. The motivation was “complicity to rape” performed by “mental manipulation” and “abuse of weakness” of women they allegedly persuaded to embrace the beliefs of the Romanian yoga group MISA. Citiți în continuare...
